$1.40 is the cost to fill one smaller bag.
cost of large bag = $9.30
each bag contains 5 pounds.
cost per pound = 9.30 / 5 = 1.86
one smaller bag = 3/4 pounds
cost of one smaller bag = 3/4 * 1.86 = 1.395 or 1.40
