All you would do is subtract Dixions hight by his shadow, and you would get how much the shadow expands his highth, and once you get that you just subtract that number from 6 which is Ariadne's shadow

6/9 - Dixons height to his shadow is equal to x/6 ariadne's height to her shadow
This becomes 9x=36
x=4
So Ariande is 4 feet tall
