y-2
2x+3y=21
⇒ 2(y-2)+3y=21
⇒ 2y-4+3y= 21 (distributive property)
⇒ (2y+3y)-4= 21 (combine like terms)
⇒ 5y= 21+4
⇒ 5y= 25
⇒ y= 25/5
⇒ y= 5
The final answer is y=5
