Death of a loved woman was a common theme for Edgar Allan Poe and its present in the poem Annabel Lee. The grief experiences by the narrator is so inconsolable that he cannot ever stop loving her. He explains how not even demons or angels could dissever his love for her, and he even sleeps in her sepulcher just so he could be with her.
