you should first multiply 5 by ( R + 2 ) so you gonna have : 5 R + 10 and now you can add -6 so you gonna have : 5 R + 10 - 6 = 5 R + 4 so the answer is 5R + 4 :)))

5(r+2) - 6
Apply the distributive property.
5*r = 5r
5*2 = 10
5r + 10 - 6
Combine like terms
10-6 = 4
5r + 4
Final answer: 5r + 4
