The nucleus is the genetic store of the cell's information. It also controls the functions of the cell

Nucleus is known as "the control center of the cell"
It does what it sounds like, main function of a nucleus is to maintain the integrity of the genes and to control the activities of the cell, making sure to regulate the gene expression.
