Write each equation in standard form using integers. (y+3=4(x-1), y=1/4x-2, y+2=2/3(x+4)) Oh and btw this isn't middle school, this is high school.

Standard form: Ax + By = C where A, B, and C are integers.
(if you don't remember, integers are numbers like ...-2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3...etc.)

Question 1
y+3=4(x-1)
Distribute the 4.
y+3=4x-4
Subtract 3 from the left.
y=4x-7
Subtract 4x from the right.
-4x+y=-7
multiply everything by -1 and make the x coefficient positive, it looks better
4x-y=7

y=1/4x-2
multiply everything by 4 to get rid of fractions
4y=x-8
subtract x
-x+4y=-8
multiply by -1
x-4y=8

y+2=2/3(x+4)
multiply by 3 to get rid of fractions
3y+6=2(x+4)
distribute
3y+6=2x+8
subtract 6
3y=2x+2
subtract 2x
-2x+3y=2
multiply by -1
2x-3y=-2
