What two things did the babylonias have as part of their number system that the egyptians lacked

1) place value system - this means that the same digit could mean different things if it was in a different place: for example in the number 232 each of the two 2s has a different value

2) a system based on the number 60: which means that the Babylonians would write 120 as 2 times 60 and the Egyptians would write it as "100 and 20"
