At tire depot a pair of new tires sells for $216.The manager's special advertises the same tires selling at a rate of $380 for 4 tires. How much do you save per tire if you purchase the manager's special?

First you must fnd the unit rate of the manager's special, 380 divided by 4= $95

Then you need to to find the unit rate for 1 tire at regular price,
216 divided by 2= 108

Then you subtract 95 from 108
108-95=13

You save $13 per tire

Cost of a pair of new tires at tire depot = $216
Mangers special rate for selling the same tires is $380 for 4 tires
So
The manager special cost of 4 tires is = 380 dollars
Then
Cost of a single tire under managers special scheme = 380/4 dollars
= 95 dollars
Then
The amount of savings per tire by
using managers special scheme = (216 - 95) dollars
= 121 dollars
So by using the managers special purchase scheme it is possible to save $121 per tire. I hope the procedure is clear for you to understand.
