Coordinates are written (x,y). So find P on the graph. Start at the origin, (0,0), and go left 2 units, sp you're right under P. Since you went left, it's negative, x=-2. Then just go up until you get to P, y=3. So you end up with P is at (-2,3). Hope this helps!
