Since you give one equation, do these steps:
1) Transpose 2x to the other side and y to the other side.
2x = 1 - y
or
2x = -y + 1
2) Divide 2 both sides to get x alone.
(2x)/2 = (-y + 1)/2
x = (-1/2)y + 1/2
