Amount of water that the bucket can hold = 2 3/4 gallons
= 11/4 gallons
Amount of water that is present in the bucket = (5/8) * (11/4) gallons
= 55/32 gallons
= 1 23/32 gallons
So the amount of water contained in the bucket is 1 23/32 gallons.
