The answer is C. There are two types of bone tissue: cancellous bone and cortical bone. Cancellous bone denotes trabecular and spongy bone while cortical bone is synonymous with compact bone. Cortical bone forms the extremely hard outer part while cancellous bone fills the lumen or hollow inside of the bone. Bones are formed from several connective tissue which include: 1. bone (called Osseus ) tissue. 2. Periosteum 3. Red bone marrow 4. Yellow bone marrow 5. Endosteum Bones help support soft tissue and protect internal organs.
