Imagine there are heavy rainfalls for days.the river near the area starts to overflow.erosion starts to take place.explain what happens

Well I have just been learning about this so :)

well what happens is the water starts to take away parts of the wall or any substance, it will continue until it forms a arch, after a while the wall becomes to weak to stand and makes a stump or a pile of wall, there is a way to protect this by using the sea defences which I will not go into :)

Erosion is the wearing away of rock and soil found along the river bed and the river banks. Erosion also involves the breaking down of the rock particles that get carried downstream by the river. the rocks start to wear off and break down slowly.
