The Minoans inhabited the island of Crete.
They advanced their culture around 3600 to 1400 BC. One of the most acclaimed tells by the Minoans was about their king, Minos, who allegedly had a Minotaur, which is part man and part bull on the island of Crete. Minos also sacrificed Greek people to supply the Minotaur. Before the Minoans appeared at the island of Crete, the island was central to early Neolithic society near 1600 BC.
