How did imperialism increase tensions between euorpean nations

Imperialism inevitably led to conflicts, because it is the system of building foreign empires for military and trade advantages.

With imperialism, there was increase in tensions between European nations because if you have two or three imperialist nations essentially, you're talking about nations that have vast and far-reaching desires for control over different lands. This creates conflict over which lands which country will become but also how these lands should be split among them.
