3 model airplanes* ($p/ 1 model airplane)= $3p.
Patrick has to pay $3p for 3 model airplanes.

Amanda has to pay $36 for 2 model airplanes.

$3p = $36
⇒ 3p = 36
⇒ p= 36/3
⇒ p= 12

The value of p is 12 (dollars)~
