Answer: He needs more strawberries than banana.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of cups of mashed bananas is given by

(5)/(6)

Number of cups of mashed strawberries is given by

(3)/(4)

We need to find whether he needs more bananas or more strawberries.

For this we need a common denominator.

1) Taking L.C.M. of denominator :

L.C.M. OF 6 and 4 = 12

2) Make the common denominator i.e. 12 for both the fractions.

(5)/(6)* (2)/(2)=(5* 2)/(6* 2)=(10)/(12)\\\\and\\\\(3)/(4)* (3)/(3)=(3* 3)/(4* 3)=(9)/(12)

so, we can see that

(10)/(12)>(9)/(12)

He needs more strawberries than banana.
