How did the Arab Empire affect learning, culture, and the arts in Europe?

Because the Arab empire spread to Europe as a result of them taking over Lebanon etc, a.k.a. 'sham' , the cultures, arts and learning of the Arabs effected Europe. Because many Arabs were Muslims, some Europeans got influenced and also became Muslim as well. That is why now you see alot of Muslims in Britain.
