Explain difference in appearance between a pure substance and a mixture.

A pure substance is chemically bound, meaning you can predict the chemical make up. An example is water: it is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. A mixture is something you can physically separate the buttons from the pins, so it's a mixture.

In a pure substance can be a solid or liquid usually smooth, in a mixture, you can see items combined
