Total length of ribbon = 1.5 yards
1 yard = 3 foot
1.5 yards = 3 * 1.5 feet
= 4.5 feet
So the total length of the ribbon is 4.5 feet.
Now
Cost of 1 foot of ribbon = 10 cents
Then
Cost of 4.5 feet of ribbon = 10 * 4.5 cents
= 45 cents.
= 45/100 dollars
= 0.45 dollars
So the cost of the total ribbon in dollars is $0.45.
