Simon Bolivar, who was originally from South America and born into an aristocratic family, was a revolutionary who wanted to have an independent and, if possible, united Latin American country.

He succeeded partially because he enabled the different countries we know today to gain independence from Spanish rule.

So in short - B would probably be the correct answer; Bolivar wanted a united, independent Latin American country.
