The way in which a piece of writing moves to create suspense, excitement, or other emotions is called pacing. This is best represented by option B.
Pacing is used in a lot, if not all, pieces of writing. It helps to stabilize the structure while remaining true to the theme or genre.
Chronology often is viewed as a branch of pacing in which the writing is constructed in chronological order. An abundance of transition terms are utilized to aid in the pacing of the writing.
A flashback refers to a literary device in which a character typically has a sudden remembrance of a past occurrence. Flashbacks usually are implemented to determine the next actions, which we’ll get to next.
Foreshadowing is also a device in which a future event is inferred or directly said by a character. It comes in many forms, and as mentioned before, flashbacks can have something to do with it. Foreshadowing notifies characters of their future and is often used by another protagonist.
