$2+xi=x+1+i\\ xi-x=-1+i\\ x(i-1)=-1+i\\ x=(-1+i)/(i-1)=\\x =(i-1)/(i-1)\\ x=1$

$2+xi=(x+1)+i\\\\xi-x=1+i-2\\\\x(i-1)=i-1\ \ \ \ /:(i-1)\\\\x=(i-1)/(i-1)\\\\x=1$
