If you would like to write
45 minutes to 1 hour
in the simplest form, you can do this using the following step:
1 hour = 60 minutes
45 minutes : 60 minutes = 45 : 60 = 3 : 4
(divide both numbers by 15)
The correct result would be
3 : 4
.
