The strandard width of 8 lanes in swimming pools used for conpetitions is 21.92 meters. The standard width of 9 lanes is 21.96 meters. How much wider is each lane when there are 8 lanes than when there are 9 lanes?? HELP ME PLEASEEE!!! You will get 28 points.

This is a basic 3 step problem.
First you will have to divide 21.92 by 8 and you will get 2.74
Then divide 21.96 by 9 and you will get 2.44
The problem is asking you how much wider is each lane for the 8 lanes and the 9 lanes.
So you are basically subtracting
so you would have to do 2.74 - 2.44 and that would get you 0.3 as your answer
