Usually ALL introductory paragraphs of ALL types of essays, include an opening sentence, some information that will help the reader understand the topic, and your thesis or controlling idea.

Hope this helps!

Answer;
The Thesis Statement is included in the introductory section of an Expository Essay. In other word it should contain evidence and facts about the topic being explained.

Step-by-step explanation;
An expository essay explains evidence or facts without opinions.If it contains quotes , it tries to be balanced and does not comment on the quotes. It normally contains an . introduction- getting the attention of an audience . Supporting body paragraphs- with facts , Conclusion- summarizes and wraps up the paper.
