If x+9.8=14.7, what is the value of 8(x-3.7)?

X=4.9 And 8(4.9-3.7) therefore when we solve it we get answer as 9.6

First you need to know what X is. So you need to subtract.
14.7-9.8=4.9 is X
Now you put X in parenthesis.
(4.9-3.7)=1.2 now you multiply 8x 1.2=9.6 is your answer. Always start with PEMDAS and it stands for the order to do the math. Parenthesis, Exponents,
Multiplication,
Division,
Addition and Subtraction
