3\ consecutive\ even\ numbers:\ 2x,2x+2,2x+4\\\\2x(2x+2)+40=(2x+4)^2\\\\ 4x^2+4x+40=4x^2+16x+16\\\\ 4x^2-4x^2+4x-16x=16-40\\\\-12x=-24\ \ |:(-12)\\\\x=(24)/(12)=2\\\\2x=2=4\\\\2x+2=6\\\\2x+4=8\\\\Numbers\ are\ 4,6,8.
