The 1847 Ten-Hour Act in Britain applied to WOMEN AND CHILD LABORERS.

The Ten Hours Act (English Factory Act of 1847) was a law passed by the United Kingdom Parliament in 1847, limiting the working hours of women and adolescents aged thirteen to eighteen to 10 hours per working day and 8 hours on Saturdays. Sunday became a day off for those affected.
