Answer is 2x + 1.5y = 25
—
Total money spent is $25
Ribs weigh x pounds and costs $2 per pound
So we can write it as 2x
Chicken weighs y pound and costs $1.5 per pound
So we can write it as 1.5y
The equation can be written as:
2x + 1.5y = 25
