What is the difference between graph of linear motion and.a graph of.harmonic motion

A graph of linear motion has no section that repeats. It may go
up and down, and different parts of the graph may have different
slopes, but there isn't any obvious consistent repetition.

A graph of harmonic motion has a single section that repeats
endlessly all across the graph.
