The correct answer is C. There is no shame in needing help. The boy who was very very proud refused to ask for help, however, when he was near starvation, he finally did ask for help and was given a glass of milk. The girl who helped him asked nothing in return and showed that people can be good to other people, and that he should have simply asked for help, any good person would have helped him.
