The answer is 50.
First do 45 divided by 9 which is 5 then times by 10 results in 50.
A way to check this is by then finding 1/10 of 50 which is 5 then X by 9 is 45, which is what you originally started with.

If you would like to know the whole amount of money, you can calculate this using the following steps:
nine tenths of a sum of money is 45
9/10 * x = 45
/*10
9 * x = 45 * 10 /9
x = 45 * 10 / 9
x = 50
Result:
Nine tenths of 50 is 45
.
