the diameter of a baseball is about 1.4 in. How much leather is needed to cover the baseball? how much rubber is needed to fill it?

The surface area is A=4(pi)r. The equation for this would be A=4(pi)0.7, which is about 6.16 inches squared (of leather). The volume would be V=4/3(pi)r^3, which is about 1.44 inches cubed. Hope I helped! :-) (I tried :P)
