Who were Minoans in ancient greek

MInoans were people who lived in Crete around 3000 BCE to 1000 BCE and left a lot of cultural artifacts pointing to a very advanced civilization. They have a special place in the European history because they are the first known European civilisation.

They developed a complex culture about which we know from the archaeological findings, such columns and mosaics.

Minoans wrote in the linear A script, which is still not deciphered, so we are not even sure to which family their language belonged to.
