(3)/(4) * 4 = (3)/(4) * (4)/(1) = (12)/(4) = 3

Now, I can't tell if that's a typo, so I'll write both:
If your equation was y=3/4(4) + 0.2, then 3 + 0.2 = 3.2
∴ y = 3.2

If your equation was y=3/4(4) + 2, then 3 + 2 = 5
∴ y = 5

If you would like to solve the equation y = 3 / 4 * 4 + 0.2, you can calculate this using the following steps:

y = 3 / 4 * 4 + 0.2
y = 3 + 0.2
y = 3.2

But, if you would like to solve the following equation y = 3 / (4 * 4) + 0.2, you can calculate this using the following steps:

y = 3 / (4 * 4) + 0.2
y = 3 / 16 + 0.2
y = 31/80 = 0.3875
