slope, m = (y₂-y₁) / (x₂-x₁)

in our case , we are given

(x₁,y₁) = (-4, 13)

(x₂, y₂) = (6, -2)

substitute these into the formula above:

m = (y₂-y₁) / (x₂-x₁)

= [-2 - 13] / [6 - (-4) ]

= -15 / 10

= -3/2
