pont slope from is y=mx+b where slope=m and b=y intercept
we are given that slope=6
subsiutte
y=6x+b
we are given the point (7,4)
(x,y)
so x=7
y=4 is one solution
subsitutute
4=6(7)+b
4=42+b
subtract 42 from both sides
-40=b
the equation is y=6x-40

Answer: y-4=6(x-7)

The formula for point slope form is:

y- y_(1) =m(x- x_(1))

where

m=slope

y_(1)= known y-coordinate

x_(1)= known x-coordinate

now lets input the information that we know into the equation. We know the slope is 6. Our known x coordinate is 7, and our known y coordinate is 4.

y-4=6(x-7)
