Weight = (mass) x (acceleration of gravity).

Gravity on Earth = 9.8 m/s²
Weight of 2.2 kg = (2.2 x 9.8) = 21.56 newtons
(about 4.9 pounds)

Gravity on Mars = 3.7 m/s²
Weight of 2.2kg = (2.2 x 3.7) = 8.14 newtons
(about 1.8 pounds)
