to get m, you need to have the variable on one side. so subtract 4m from both sides so that the equation is now 8m-9=15.
it is now a two step equation.
add 9 to 15 to get 24 then divide 24 by 8 to get 3.
m=3 is the solution

you need to figure out what m is so first subtract 12 from then sybtract 9 from 9 then you havem by itself. now subtract 4 from 4 then add 4m to 4m and the add 15 to 9 and you should get your answer
