To turn an equation into slope intercept form you must isolate y.

4x-9y=36 Subtract 4x from both sides

-9y=-4x-36 Divide both sides by -9

y=
(4)/(9)x+
(36)/(9)

Your answer is y=
(4)/(9)x+4
