12x+4-7x=6+5x-2
12x-7x= 5x You can do this because they are common with each other.
6-2=4 You can do this because they are common with each other.
New equation is now: 5x+4=4+5x
+4+4 =8
New equation is now: 5x=8+5x
5/5=0
New equation is now: x=8+x
