If you know the rate of a water leak in gallons per hour, how can you find the number of hours it takes for 1 gallon to leak out?

divide the number of gallons that leak out in 1 hour by 1
for example, say 5 gallons leak in 1 hour
divide 1 hour or 60 minutes by 5
60/5=12 minutes
so in this situation, 1 gallon leaks out every 12 minutes
