Degree: the value of the highest exponent in the expression
Binomial: a polynomial with two terms
Trinomial: a polynomial with three terms
Polynomial: an expression, normally used to classify ones with more than three terms


x^2 + 5

binomial

degree: 2


4x^3 + 5x + 9

trinomial

degree: 3


5x^7 + 7x^4 + 8x^3 +9x^2 + 1
