ben and phoebe are finding the slope of a line then chose two points on the line and use them to find the slope.phoebe used two different points to find the slope.did they get the same answer? Explain.

If the line is linear, a straight line, both should get the same answer. All the points on the line have the same ratio. So when they both solve for the slope, they will get the same answer.

No matter which two points were chosen by Ben and Phoebe. If they plug it in the y-coordinates and the x-coordinates into the formula:


m=(y_(2) -y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(2))

Or calculate it through a Linear System of Equation, or even through another method they will certainly find the slope of the line.
