divide 21 by 9 that is 3 there is your whole number your fraction is 21/9 and your decimal would be 3.0

you have to divide 9 into 21. once you do that you get 2.3. the first number of the decimal will be the whole number and the second number will be the numerator of the fraction. your end product should be 2 3/9
