If a partnership is formed and one partner causes losses then both sides suffer.
Think of it like sharing a toy. If two kids are sharing a toy and one breaks the toy, then neither can use it. It's similar in this manner that if one partner makes a mistake then the entirety of the firm will suffer losses on both sides.
