Set up a proportion so 12/5= 30/x so cross multiply 5 times 30 is = to 12x now divide 150 (which is 30 times 5) by 12 and you get 12.5. So 12.5 is your answer
y 12 - x 5
y 30 - x ?
x= 30 × 5 ÷ 12
x = 12.5
