DETERIORATE. With aging, heart does not reamin the very efficient pacemaker. The arteries gets deposited with fats, fibrous tissue develops in them, which leads in slowing down of heart. Further, size of heart increases, which leads to more time in filling up of heart. The muscle cells of the heart also deteriorate. Thus, cardiorespiratory fitness deteriorates.
